Privacy Notice

This is a personal website with no accounts, forms, comments, newsletters, advertising or cookies. It counts visits with privacy-friendly Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and builds no profiles. The only personal information it receives is what your browser sends to load a page and anything you choose to email. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.

Jorai Laurenceo publishes this site from Hamilton, Bermuda, and is responsible for how personal information is handled here. Questions or requests: Jorai@JoraiLaurenceo.com, subject line "Privacy". This notice covers jorailaurenceo.com only. Laurenceo.com and Laurenceo Intelligence have their own notice, and linked sites such as LinkedIn and YouTube have theirs.

Information your browser sends. When a page loads, the hosting provider, Vercel, receives your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and technical details such as browser type, language and referring page. These server logs are used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and fix faults.

Visit counts. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and shows which pages, referring sites, countries, device types and browsers are used. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites and does not build a profile of you; visits are counted with an anonymous identifier that resets daily. The counts are used only to understand how the site is used.

Emails. If you email, the address, any name you give and the message are used to read and reply to it. Emails are deleted 12 months after the last message, or sooner if you ask.

In your browser. When you move between pages, the site briefly keeps the position of the menu in your browser's session storage so it can animate smoothly; it holds no personal information and is cleared as soon as the next page loads. The "copy email address" button uses your clipboard only when you press it.

Personal information is not sold, rented or shared for marketing. Vercel hosts the site and provides the analytics, and may process data outside Bermuda, including in the United States, under its own security and privacy commitments. Email is handled by the email provider for Jorai@JoraiLaurenceo.com. Information is disclosed to anyone else only if the law requires it.

Under PIPA you can ask to see the personal information held about you, have it corrected, blocked or erased, and ask how it has been used. Send requests to Jorai@JoraiLaurenceo.com; you may be asked to confirm your identity so information is not given to the wrong person, and you will get a reply without undue delay, with reasons if a request cannot be met. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Bermuda (PrivCom) at privacy.bm.

If this notice changes, the date below changes with it.
